Weekly tracking

Your visibility. Measured every week.

Nothing on a report is an opinion: each figure comes from an answer the engines gave, stored with its date and citations. The free scan is one snapshot. Paid plans keep asking.

A 0 to 100 score per business from every analysed answer of the run. Paid plans ask again every week, keep every answer with its date, model and citations, and chart the trend.

Three steps, about two minutes.

No account for the first one. The scan runs live while you watch.

  1. Tell us the business

Name, city and category. We turn that into the 3 questions your customers ask an AI, such as “best plumber in Denver”.

  2. We ask the engines

ChatGPT (through OpenAI’s API) and Google AI Mode (a Google result recorded through DataForSEO) answer with your city as the location. You see whether each engine named you, your position, and who it named instead.

  3. You get the fix list

Each fix names the evidence behind it: a directory the engines cite that does not list you, a robots rule that blocks their crawlers, a page you do not have. Paid plans re-check every week.

What AI visibility means

Whether ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and engines like them name your business when someone asks the kind of question your customers ask.

These engines answer in prose from a live web search and citations, not a ranked list of links, so being visible there means being one of the businesses the engine chooses to name, not a position on a page. It is a different mechanism from a search ranking, and it responds to different things: citations from sites the engine already trusts, structured data it can read as fact, and content it can lift an answer from directly.

Questions people ask before paying.

What is AI visibility?

Whether an AI engine names your business when someone asks the kind of question your customers ask, such as “best dentist in Austin”. It differs from a search ranking because these engines answer in prose from a live web search and citations, not a list of links, so being visible there means being one of the businesses the engine chooses to name and cite in its answer.

How do I check if ChatGPT recommends my business?

Run the free scan above: enter your business, city and trade, and it asks ChatGPT and Google AI Mode the same questions your customers would ask, then shows whether you were named, who was named instead, and the first fix. It takes about a minute and needs no account or card.

How accurate is this?

AI engines do not give the same answer twice. A free scan asks 3 questions once on 2 engines, so it is a snapshot. Paid plans ask ChatGPT 2 times per prompt every week and report a mention rate (mentions ÷ samples) rather than a single answer. Every answer is stored with its date, model and citations so you can check it yourself.

Why do the answers differ from what I see in the ChatGPT app?

We ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity through their official APIs with web search switched on and your city passed as the location; Google AI Mode and AI Overviews are Google results for your city recorded through DataForSEO's SERP API. That closely approximates the consumer apps, but it is not identical: the apps add personal history, device location and interface features the APIs do not expose. Each result carries a note saying exactly which API produced it.

Which AI engines does ClientRadar check?

ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity, each through its own official API. The free scan checks ChatGPT and Google AI Mode; paid plans add the rest depending on plan. Every result names which one produced it.

Do the engines cost you money, and why are the plans this cheap?

Yes. Every answer is a paid API call, from about a tenth of a cent for Google AI Mode to one or two cents for ChatGPT. The plans are priced so those calls stay well under the subscription, with a per-account spending ceiling, and identical questions asked by two customers in the same week are run once and shared. That is the whole margin story; there is no other trick.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Plans are billed monthly or yearly with no minimum term. Cancel from the billing portal and the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

What if it is not useful to me?

Email hello@clientradar.app within 14 days of your first payment and you get the money back. Refunds are handled by a person, not a form, so allow a working day.

What do you keep about me and my business?

Your account email, the business profile you enter, your prompts and the answers the engines gave. For the free scan we store hashed versions of your IP address, for the daily limit and to tell visitors apart on city leaderboards, never the address itself. Deleting your account hard-deletes businesses, answers and reports within 24 hours, and you can download a JSON export from Settings at any time. We never scrape the ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity apps.

Why can’t I scan my business?

ClientRadar does not track some types of business. The list is in the terms of service. If your business is on it, the scan form says so and nothing is stored.

Can reports live on my own domain?

On Agency you prove you own the domain with a TXT record, point a CNAME at our reports host, and client reports open on your domain with your logo and colours. Pro gives the same white-label report and PDF on a ClientRadar link. Starter has a shareable link with ClientRadar branding.

A note from the founder

I built ClientRadar because most tools that check what AI engines say about a business are built and priced for large brands, while a freelancer or a local owner needs the same answer for one location at a time.

It is a small, independent product. Every answer comes from the engines’ APIs (Google’s results through DataForSEO) and is stored with its date and citations, so nothing on a report is my opinion. When an engine call fails you see the failure, not a made-up result. Prices start at $9 a month because the API calls behind a business cost a few dollars, and I would rather many small businesses could afford it.

If something is wrong or unclear, reply to any email ClientRadar sends you. It reaches me.

Where the answers come from

ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answer through their official APIs; Google AI Mode and AI Overviews are Google results recorded through DataForSEO’s SERP API. Web search is on and your city is the location. We never automate the consumer apps, and no engine is asked about your business by name.

ChatGPT
ChatGPT via OpenAI API with web search — closely approximates, but is not identical to, the consumer ChatGPT app.
Google AI Mode
Google AI Mode via DataForSEO SERP API — a recorded Google result for the given location, not a live browser session.
Google AI Overview
Google AI Overview via DataForSEO SERP API — a recorded Google organic result for the given location, not a live browser session; some queries show no AI Overview.
Gemini
Gemini via Google Gemini API with Google Search grounding — closely approximates, but is not identical to, the consumer Gemini app.
Perplexity
Perplexity via Perplexity Agent API (sonar) — closely approximates, but is not identical to, the consumer Perplexity app.
